A smart program. - Keeps your belongings in good order and tells you - among other things - how much you have paid for your belongings, the size of it and if there are any guarantee left.
INTRODUCTION. - It´s very annoying to search through all the receipts to find out if a machine out of order still got some guarantee left. - Is there? - What size have our bookcase back home. Does it fit in now when we finally fond the house we really want to buy? - The insurance company would like to know the value of our belongings. - How much? - We are going to move. - Is there a simple way to mark all our cartons? All this and a bit more my program can help you find out. - TRY IT! - I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!
SYSTEM REQUIREMENT. A smart and healthy MAC. 68040 processor or later. System 7.0 or later.
TO USE. - I suggest that you make the file Stuffboss v.1.0 demo to a template. (I have already done that for you. You can change it in finder by "Get Info" on the file and uncheck the box.) Another way is to make a duplicate of the file Stuffboss v.1.0 demo. Name it for example "Kitchen Equipment", "Books" or "The move -99". By this you can have several registers. Another reason is that the ID number is unique and woun´t start at 1 even if you delete all records. However in the original sharp version, you receive from me when you register, it starts at number 1.
- It´s easy to use - just double click on the file Stuffboss v.1.0 demo. - Use a blank password in this demo for (limited) access. Just click OK. (Don´t bother about the file "Solution". It´s just the engine.) - You are asked if you would like to use your systems date format. Answer yes! Otherwise you will be using the Swedish format like YY MM DD. (And that´s not what you are used to, I think.) - Use the bottoms you find in the program. (What else can you do?) - By the small pad up to the left you can navigate through the records by clicking on it, by dragging the indicator or by typing a new number just below it. In the List mode just scroll the window. - The "Pop up menu" under objects gets its data from the items in the register and sorts it in alphabetic order. That´s why it´s empty from the beginning (in the sharp version). - In "Pop up menu" under Location now, Move to, Color and Guarantee months you can scroll down to Edit, and enter your own descriptions, like in any word processing program. - Printing Labels will do it on paper size A4 portrait and label size 66x33,8 mm (2,59x1,33 inches) and 3x8 pieces like in Herma 4814 or equal. - In a coming version I´ll let there be more choices. In this demo you can put in records to a sum of 20 ID. Above this number, a reminder will inform you that this is a shareware version.
THE MILLENNIUM PROBLEM. No problem - this little program can handle it. I have been using an Invoice Program, for which I paid $ 1000 US and I now find that it will not handle post 2000 dates!
THE FUTURE. A PC version of this program is planned for the future as well as a version for the Spanish user. I welcome your comments and point of view on its use.
SHAREWARE - THE FULL VERSION. As my wife thinks I spend too much time in front of my computer (she´s looking at TV and I´m a TV cynic), I would like to console her with something nice from time to time. If you like what you have seen, you can purchase the full version of Stuffboss, without any limits, for the price of $ 15 US.
